HIGH PERFORMANCE CRUISING
The POGO44 retains the family spirit of the other models in the POGO range. Like all models in our POGO range, the POGO 44 is built in Vacuum Infusion (100%). Foam buoyancy makes the boat "unsinkable", an invaluable safety feature for long crossings. The famous faceted portholes of the POGO36 are found on deck, providing light and a good view towards the bow of the boat. There is a very pleasant wheelhouse effect during stopovers and for long passages when cruising.
The cockpit and the helm station are a nod to those found on the POGO12.50 and POGO50. The POGO44 is fitted with tillers as standard, but it is possible to equip the boat with attractive composite steering wheels as an option. All rope handling is led to the pit on the coachroof, an ideal position for hoisting, trimming the sheets, taking reefs under the cover of the companionway ... The top-of-the-range fittings are very well-proportioned and designed to sail the Pogo 44 solo or double-handed. At the rear of the cockpit, the bathing platform allows for the storage of the inflated tender and incorporates a huge trunk for storage, sails, the folded tender and all the equipment for cruising.
The Pogo 44 can be delivered with an aluminium mast or a carbon mast without backstay (as with our other models, from the POGO30 to the POGO50) allowing for a more slender and more powerful square-top mainsail. The mast position has been moved back on the boat to take bigger headsails.
